When the music is on, Glenda Guilfoyle is dancing. Since she was 17, she’s been dancing everywhere from Radio City Music Hall to Disneyland. And now, at 74, she’s still not done dancing.
She’s been featured on TV specials with some of the greatest in the business, including Fred Astaire, Cud Chariisse, Dean Martin and Rosemary Clooney.
Sixty years later, the mother of seven and a grandmother of 10 is still busting a move as one of the long-legged Lovelies in the Palm Springs follies chorus line. But surprisingly, Guilfoyle isn’t the oldest member — she’s 10 years away from that honor.
Guilfoyle talks with Growing Bolder about her 57 years in show business and what her family thinks of the dancing granny.
