She’s a comedian, an Emmy-nominated talk show host and now, she’s opening up about a medical condition that many people don’t talk about: incontinence. And she’d like you to take a stand as well by dropping your pants!

Sheryl Underwood suffers from bladder leakage as a result of a partial hysterectomy. Now 50, Sheryl says she wants to speak out about the condition to inspire the millions of other Americans who are dealing with incontinence. It’s a serious issue for many who feel ashamed or stigmatized, but Sheryl — who is speaking out for the first time — says there’s no need to hide!

She partnered with Depend to bring bladder leakage out of hiding and show that wearing a different type of underwear isn’t a big deal, through a social movement, called Underwareness. For every person who drops his or her pants and shares a photo or video online using the hashtags #Underwareness and #DropYourPants, Depend will donate $1, up to $3 million, over the next three years to charitable organizations that advance the research, education, awareness and support of bladder leakage.
