Editor’s Note: Theodore Bikel died in July 2015 at the age of 91. This interview was recorded in December 2014 and is one of his final interviews.

Theodore Bikel is a distinguished actor, famous for his iconic stage roles such as Tevya in “Fiddler on the Roof” and his memorable television roles on shows like “Falcon Crest,” “Murder She Wrote” and “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” He’s also appeared in some of the greatest movies ever made, including “African Queen,” “My Fair Lady,” and “The Defiant Ones,” for which he was nominated for an Oscar.

Now in his 90s, he’s still working, still active and still making the world a better place.

He’s just published an update to his autobiography, “Theo,” which was first published 20 years ago when he was 70. He’s been so busy since then that he had to keep adding chapters!

Theo talks to us about extraordinary life, including founding the Newport Folk Festival with Pete Seeger and working along Humphrey Bogart. Plus, the man who has played Tevye more than 2,000 times, including most recently in 2010 at the age of 86, revels whether he misses the character after “hanging up his milkpail.”

Plus, Theo is living proof it’s never too late to find love again. One year ago, he married again. See what he has to say about finding love so late in life and why he highly recommends it!
