Dee Wallace will forever be known as the newly divorced mother in Steven Spielberg’s 1982 classic film, “E.T.”

But she’s also an actor, teacher, healer, radio host and the author of the new book “Bright Light: Spiritual Lessons from a Life in Acting.”

Dee says in world of acting, everything is heightened — she said on a weekly basis, actors get rejected, judged and made to be trophies more than most people experience in a lifetime in their careers.

But she says this environment is a breeding ground for spiritual awakening and enlightenment. Everyone, regardless of their occupation or life’s circumstances, has been hurt, threatened and judged in their lifetime. Dee wants to help people learn to uncover their personal lights and learn to rise above these situations.

In the book, she reveals some of her personal challenges — her alcoholic father who committed suicide, the death of her husband after just 18 years together and the career disappointments she faced after the success of “E.T.”

She says her story shows that if she can do it, you can too.

Dee offers her tips for getting your life back and being happy again. She said it all begins with very important step. Find out how you can reclaim the light in your life again.
