In 2019, British yachtswoman Jeanne Socrates, 77, became the oldest person to sail solo, nonstop and unassisted around the world. She was also the first woman to complete that journey from North America.
After her record-setting voyage, Socrates joined Growing Bolder in Winter Park, Florida, for a conversation about the challenges of sailing around the world alone—and the persistence, determination and grit it took to complete the journey.
Growing Bolder Founder and CEO Marc Middleton leads the conversation.
Jeanne discussed her blog, which she updated regularly during her trip. Click here to read her dispatches from her record-setting trip and to stay updated on her next adventures.
