Bolder Broadcasting, Inc. announces the expansion of its popular Growing Bolder television program to WJXT in Jacksonville, Florida.

Hosted by award-winning journalists Marc Middleton and Bill Shafer, Growing Bolder shares the stories of ordinary people pursuing extraordinary lives. “There is nothing else like it,” says Bolder Broadcasting CEO and Founder Marc Middleton. “Growing Bolder is an inspirational, active lifestyle show about men and women who are smashing stereotypes, redefining the possibilities of life after 50 and demonstrating that when it comes to living big, bold lives, it’s not about age, it’s about attitude.”

Already available in more than 50 million American homes, Growing Bolder will air weekly on Saturday mornings at 6:30AM on WJXT. “We’re thrilled to be joining Channel 4 The Local Station,” says Middleton. “WJXT is one of America’s top stations and does an incredible job of connecting with the local community.”

Bolder Broadcasting is based in Central Florida and launched in 2006 as the nation’s first-ever social networking community for the 45+ market. It has since grown to a multiplatform media network, with a portfolio that includes national TV programs, radio programs, a bimonthly magazine, a network of websites and a powerful social media footprint.

“We’re excited to bring Growing Bolder to Jacksonville,” says WJXT Vice President and General Manager Bob Ellis. “It combines great storytelling with a powerful message that will encourage and entertain local viewers. Plus, it provides us with opportunities to share local stories with the national Growing Bolder audience.”

In addition to hosts Marc Middleton and Bill Shafer, Growing Bolder features correspondents Wendy Chioji and Secily Wilson, Olympic Gold medalists Rowdy Gaines and Dr. Dot Richardson, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Roger McGuinn, infomercial icon Tony Little, renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Robert Masson, longevity expert Dr. Robert Landry, the Design Tourist Karen LeBlanc, and an all-star team of inspirational experts.
