After more than 50 years and eight nominations, David Hackett has taken his rightful place in the Skateboarding Hall of Fame. And Growing Bolder was there for the induction ceremony and celebration.
The “Hackman” started skating at the age of 5, winning his first world championship a decade later. He won his last — at least for now! — at the age of 55. He has never stopped skateboarding, has never considered stopping, and says he will always chase dreams on and off the board.

Growing Bolder CEO and Marc Middleton was so inspired after meeting David that he wrote an open letter in support of and about the skateboarding icon, and the list of reasons why he believed David deserved this Hall of Fame honor. You can read that here.
