In 1993, Morgan Shepherd became the second oldest race winner ever when he won in Atlanta at the age of 51. Now 69, he’s the oldest driver in the sport and regularly competes in the Nationwide series.

But it’s his speed off the track that’s making bigger headlines. Morgan recently ran down a teenage thief in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Las Vegas and wrestled him to the ground for police.

Morgan explains what prompted him to take action and whether he ever worried about the suspect injuring him.
