No matter where you come from or how little you start out with, you can go anywhere in life.

Actress Rosie Perez is living proof of that. Her start was so rocky that she ended up living in a foster home in Brooklyn. She was able to keep moving forward with not much more than a fighting spirit and her dreams, eventually becoming an Oscar-nominated actress.

She’s written a fascinating new book about her life experiences called, “Handbook for an Unpredictable Life: How I Survived Sister Renata and My Crazy Mother, and Still Came Out Smiling (with Great Hair).”

She’s also helped start a campaign called When Life Gets Tough, Women Rise Above It to inspire other women to overcome obstacles.

Rosie explains how she always knew she’d rise above her situations, even as a small child, and what she wants everyone, especially women, to know about staying focused on what’s possible in life.

Plus, find out why Rosie is counting down the days until she turns 50. She also recently surprised everyone with an impromptu wedding in Las Vegas. She talks about finding love again and why life just keeps getting better every day.
