After 54 years of marriage, Judson and Barbara Stryker thought they’d been through it all. They never expected they’d both suffer from the same, unusual neurological condition that frequently is misdiagnosed as Alzheimer’s or dementia. They found the life-saving answers they needed at Florida Hospital, where a multi-disciplinary team accurately diagnosed them with NPH — normal pressure hydrocephalus.
Today, they’re both recovered and have returned to doing the things they love: Judson is back to teaching finance at Stetson University and Barbara is once again able to play piano. They share their story to help other families who think hope is lost.
Our partners at Florida Hospital have created a great resource guide on NPH. Click here to learn more and to request an appointment.
