Denver, Colo. (September 15, 2016) Growing Bolder® is Rebranding Aging™ and the world is taking notice.
Growing Bolder Founder and CEO Marc Middleton was recently awarded the first-ever Changing the Way the World Ages Award by Home Care Assistance, one of the nation’s leading providers of in-home care services for seniors who want to remain active, engaged and living in their homes.
“I’m truly honored because Home Care Assistance is the gold standard in high quality, compassionate care,” says Middleton. “They’re not only transforming the industry but more importantly transforming lives. They’re dedicated to helping each individual client find joy and significance in their lives. The HCA ethos is very much aligned with Growing Bolder’s belief that aging is not a disease, it’s an opportunity.”
Barbara Schuh is Vice President of Franchise Operations for Home Care Assistance and oversees every aspect of franchise operations from sales and marketing to employee and client care to ensure that all locations achieve operational excellence. A well-known geriatric care management and senior care expert, Schuh was honored as Humanitarian of the Year by the John Muir Foundation.
“My personal belief has always been that no matter what limitations older adults have, mentally or physically, they can still live happy, full lives,” she says. “When I was introduced to Home Care Assistance more than six years ago, the company’s mission to change the way the world ages really resonated with me and aligned with my core values. This same thing happened when I first met Marc and his company Growing Bolder. His commitment to changing the paradigm of aging by focusing on extraordinary centenarians all around us, and so much more, resonated so closely with the mission of our company and what we are about that we dedicated our first ever Changing the Way the World Ages award to him!”
Middleton was given the award during the annual Home Care Assistance Convention in Denver, Colorado, where he also delivered a keynote presentation focused on inspiring attendees to not only encourage their clients to embrace this new and exciting lifestage, but to challenge the ways they themselves view their own futures.
