Turning 92 hasn’t stopped Bob Matteson from living his life to the fullest. In fact, he’s still a competitive athlete and holds several national running records.
Many people wonder why Matteson is still competing when he’s eight years away from hitting the centenarian mark, but he’s quick to say that age shouldn’t be a barrier to living life.
In college, he was called “Rapid Robert” for his track-star reputation. But it took him 50 years after college to get back into running. Not only does Matteson run, however, he also has a job and works out an hour a day.
He talks with Growing Bolder about where he gets his energy from and why he’s living like the Energizer Bunny.
