Little-Known Fact:
A discus thrower by the name of Al Gore was on Brooks Johnson’s very first team. Johnson says the future Vice President was a joy to coach, “Al Gore was one of the most coachable guys you ever saw. Whatever he had — it was maxed out. He wasn’t the greatest natural athlete but he was extremely coachable.”
