Charmaine Gilbreath had a dream. And nothing, not even age, was going to stop her. At least, that’s what she thought.

She retired at 63, but not to stay home or spend her days at the beach — instead, she enrolled at The DAVE School to study digital animation and special effects with some of America’s top teachers and experts.

Was it easy? Not at all. Charmaine had to overcome challenges inside the classroom and outside of it, including a battle with cancer and stepping in as a caregiver for her husband as he battled a disease of his own. But was it worth it? Charmaine’s answer might inspire you to follow your dreams, too.
