Charles Eugster is a retired dentist who took up running and rowing at the age of 85 when he noticed he was putting on weight. When he was 87, he began lifting weights.
Just two years ago, at the age of 93, he took up competitive track and field. Today, at 96, he’s racked up quite a few titles, including the World Masters Rowing Champion, the European Masters Decathlete Champion, the Swiss National Fitness Champion and a Masters bodybuilding champion.
Earlier this year, he obliterated the 95 and over world indoor record for the 200 meters.
He just may be the fittest man alive over the age of 90, and he is, without question, the greatest athlete alive over 90.
Dr. Eugster checks in with Growing Bolder from Switzerland and explains what motivated him to start working out and offers his tips for getting started yourself on your own path to the Fountain of Youth®.
