Lynne Mixson Named Senior Producer at Growing Bolder

ORLANDO (Feb. 8, 2021) – Lynne Mixson, an Emmy Award-winning TV producer, has been named senior producer at Growing Bolder, a multi-media company with national TV, radio and podcasts in addition to a popular lifestyle magazine aimed at inspirational content for older adults.

The Growing Bolder TV program, which airs on PBS stations nationally, reaches up to 85% of all U.S. households. The rapidly expanding company has plans to launch a commercial TV show later this year.

“I couldn’t embrace Growing Bolder’s mission more,” Mixson said. “I was looking for the opportunity to create media that inspires, enlightens, entertains and motivates us all to live lives we love. To be a part of helping people imagine what’s possible in their own lives is exciting.”

Mixson has won three Suncoast Emmys and was nominated eight times. She previously worked for FOX Sports Florida/Sun Sports for 16 years. At FOX, she managed numerous in-depth projects that included TV shows and features associated with the Orlando Magic, Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Lightning. She was responsible from initial concept through final production. The University of Florida public relations graduate also worked as a sports marketing and advertising manager at Dairy Farmers Inc where she localized “Got Milk?” campaigns for Florida.

Additionally, Mixson was director of promotions at the University of Kansas Athletics and was public relations manager at SportsChannel Florida. Her experience and creativity are expected to raise the profile at Growing Bolder, which includes some of Central Florida’s most talented broadcasters, journalists and social-media experts.

Away from work, Mixson enjoys running 5Ks and half-marathons.
