“You’ve Been Passed By An 86-Year-Old”

A record number of walkers and runners turned out for the Zimmerman Kiser Sutcliffe Winter Park Road Race presented by Florida Hospital, including several members of Team Growing Bolder!

Participants of all ages and fitness levels made an important commitment to their futures by getting up early and hitting the course with more than 4,000 other fitness enthusiasts. Perhaps no one personifies the benefits of the importance of movement than Ann Kahl, the 86-year-old runner who inspired every one she passed on the course. That’s why we were thrilled to present her with this year’s Growing Bolder Inspiration Award.

See how she inspired everyone who saw her out there running by in her custom-made t-shirt touting her age and get her pep talk to for getting active yourself! Plus, you’re going to love the way she celebrates her accomplishment — by dancing up a storm!

The 39th annual Zimmerman Kiser Sutcliffe Winter Park Road Race was the first live event for Team Growing Bolder, and we can’t thank our partners at Track Shack enough for their support in this project.
