Adela Choquet practices balance and breath that stretches the limits on flexibility as we age. At the age of 91, Choquet taught a one-hour yoga class three times a week at one of the largest and most vibrant senior communities in the country, The Villages, Florida.
“We go through so many things in life. But when I am here [teaching yoga,] I am a different person,” Choquet told Growing Bolder.
This nonagenarian is proof that it is never too late to improve your health and wellbeing. Choquet didn’t begin practicing Yoga until her mid 50s, and now 40 years later, she continues to bring others into her circle.
Her secrets to life?
“You have to be active,” Choquet urges. “I am 91 years old. I am not getting older, I am Growing Bolder!”
