*Editors Note: Bernice passed away on April 10, 2020 at the age of 99.

Bernice Bates once held the Guinness World Record for being the world’s oldest yoga teacher. At 92, she could move her body in ways people decades younger couldn’t imagine.

Before she passed in 2020 at the age of 99, Bernie wanted others to know it’s not too late to do the same, even if you’ve never taken yoga before. She didn’t start until she was 60!

Her story of overcoming obstacles, such as homelessness, determination and a willingness to make a difference in the lives of others will inspire you to stop wasting energy on the things that don’t matter and start focusing on the truly important things in life — including taking care of yourself.

Watch to find out why so many believe yoga to be the Fountain of Youth and how Bernice’s message could change your life.

And just wait until you see her shoulder stand!
