Joe has held age world records in both the 60-64 and 65-69 age groups. His best vault over the age of 60 is a record leap of 12′ 1&1/2″ at Clermont, Fl. on Feb 18, 2006. Joe is also a world ranked hurdler and a national champion in the heptahlon; a combination of 7 events including hurdles, long jump, high jump, shot put, pole vault, 60 meter sprint, and 1000 meter run.
